Trackside Mall --- Yesterday and Now

Located in Idaho Falls, Idaho, the Trackside Mall is one of the West’s most unique shopping locations. Located at 301 Poulson St, the Trackside Mall sits just behind Jack Thomas Grain & Feed. This building dates back to the early days of Idaho Falls, originally known as Eagle Rock. Idaho Falls was greatly influenced by the construction of the railroad system in 1879. Construction of the railroad continued north to Butte, Montana, which reached its destination on December 26, 1881. Construction continued on to Garrison, Montana, which ended construction of the line in 1884.

Originally, the building housed the Martin Brothers Fresh Packing Shed. Many old-timers can recall the days of working the warehouse shifts to get the famous Idaho potatoes loaded & ready for shipment.

In 1999, previous owners Joe & Barbara Riggins, began an extensive remodeling project. The character & charm of the original building still remain, but it now hosts one of the largest & most unique shopping experiences of its kind in the Pacific Northwest. If you enjoy antique malls, museum-like atmospheres, flea markets, crafts fairs, nostalgia for days of long ago, make this a must visit on your travels through Idaho Falls. A modern elevator makes accessing the three floors of showrooms and merchandise an enjoyable experience for everyone. Admission is free. Please chaperone younger children. Heather Quick, our new owner, along with Mall Manager: Sheila McCormick, and our Associate Vendors, Welcome You!
